Kayou Rarity Guide

Understanding Kayou Card Rarity

Kayou uses a standardised rarity system across all their anime trading card sets. Here's what each tier means for collectors:

UR — Ultra Rare

The crown jewel of any Kayou set. Ultra Rares feature holographic foil stamping, prismatic backgrounds, and dramatic full-art illustrations. Pull rates are extremely low — typically 1 in every 2–3 booster boxes. These are the cards collectors chase.

SR — Super Rare

Full-art prismatic prints with vivid colour and high detail. Super Rares are highly sought after and represent strong value in the secondary market. Expect roughly 1–2 per booster box.

SP — Special

Limited character variants and series exclusives. SP cards often feature unique poses, alternate outfits, or special event artwork not available in standard sets.

R — Rare

Core set essentials. Rares feature clean full-art illustrations of key characters and are the backbone of competitive and collector decks alike.

C — Common

The foundation of every great collection. Common cards make up the majority of pulls and are essential for completing full sets.

Wave Naming Convention

Kayou releases cards in numbered waves per series. For example, Naruto T4W6 means Tier 4, Wave 6. We name all collections with the exact wave reference so you always know what you're buying.
